so, it is happening.

i am moving away from my beloved home of 8 years, DENVER COLORADO, to the wild wild world of BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
i am looking forward to branching out, meeting new people, and growing as an artist.
it is 2012 and i am embracing change in the universe and doing what feels right at this point in my career and life(style).
onward to the future!

i will be driving in a small uhual truck containing my belongings east from denver to new york, stopping in certain cities to play shows.
joining me on this small journey are local denver weirdo's, ALPHABETS, who will be bringing their hi energy and spastic performances to the shows. i cant wait.

KISSING PARTY "THE GAME"

one of my favorite local denver bands, KISSING PARTY, has made a video shot at some weird pyramid structure. i dont know where this pyramid is, but i want to go hang out there, and this song is fucking awesome. it really for some reason reminds me of the the 90's UK based band, HOOD, whom i adore.

RHINOCEROPOLIS DOCUMENTARY

a brand new documentary created by a 17 year old high school student named Pete Bell just came out. The short film is titled "Neon Savant & the Silent Trajectory" and it is the story about Rhinoceropolis, the highly influential and legendary Denver DIY art-punk warehouse that has been existing for almost 7 years. I was lucky enough to call Rhinoceropolis home for 5 years (i still live right next door). During those years i saw the spirit of Rhinoceropolis change and inspire countless lives, and it still continues to do so, as evidenced in this film. No one has yet to tell the story of Rhinoceropolis, and in my opinion (biased of course) this film is an instant classic, made by a young kid who was directly inspired by that beautiful warehouse that inspired so many others just like him. For people who only think culture exists in new york and Los Angeles, watch it and see the Denver magic! Rhinoceropolis forever.

each of these bands are incredible and would be well worth your time to go see if you happen to be in any of these cities...

they have both helped to shape the DIY scene of denver that has since become world famous.
these are the movers and shakers the world should be paying attention to...

one of my all time favorite denver based person/artist/freakazoids, COLIN WARD AKA ALPHABETS, is the kind of dude who's creative output is more akin to that of niagra falls, than that of most people's average faucet trickle.

the lil genius has somehow, in 2010,  released 23 entire albums....
and get this, they are all GOOD.

(i havent heard them all, but i know this)

he recently compiled them all in one lump location, ready for your consumption.

i suggest picking up a few. "sunpower" and "stupid hot" are personal favs...

an exclusive clip of (my roommates) HOT WHITE in the yet to be released documentary ("denver undiscovered") of the thriving underground denver music scene. these kids rule. so . hard.

The documentary, which comes in at around 1.5 hours in length, features exclusive interviews and performances from: Candy Claws, Hot White, FLASHLIGHTS, Pictureplane, Lil' Slugger, Hideous Men, Married In Berdichev, The Don'ts & Be Carefuls, Tjutjuna, Woodsman, BDRMPPL, Vitamins and Snake Rattle Rattle Snake, to name a few.

there is this band, from DENVER, called PHONBOOKS.

they sound like a digital landscape of stunted growth and artificial memories.. .. pure bliss. simulacrum.

they are brand new. but somehow managed to drop this ENTIRE ALBUM called "SANTA CRUIZIN"

and as i stated earlier....  it is REALLy FUCKING AMAZING.

my fellow denver dude and old time friend (we were art school students together, and used to live in a house with green carpeted stairs leading to the basement, hence the name GREEN CARPETED STAIRS)  just sent me this KILLER remix for my song, TIME TEENS.
