HOLLAGRAMZ DESERT MIX
OH FUCK
HOLLAGRAMZ DROPPED THE "DESERT MIX"
my main cosmic brother in the everyday hologram, HOLLAGRAMZ played me this mix last night while we drank gin and tonics and smoked resin. it fucking slams.
the desert mix runs the holographic gauntlet through funky house, post dubstep weirdness, and other forms of fringe worthy dance musics.
dude is about to go to burning man, which if you didnt know is in the nevada desert. if i know hollagramz, i know that burning man has and is burning an imprint into his brain. what this imprint is, i am not sure... it may be an image of a man, but it may have something to do with a desert landscape, and therefore informed this mix.

all the footage was shot while on my tour with him and small black. i remember a lot of these shots being filmed. this brings back wonderful memories for me.

THE STONED BOYS
i have posted about the stoned boys before here. and with good reason.
i performed with them in moscow, and they were such hospitable gentlemen, and just happened to be in an incredible band.
this is a new video for their song "dead friends"
i dont know much about what is going on in the video, as i cant read russian, but i feel that it is irrelevant because the song is awesome.
this may sound kind of common place sonically to us living in america, but to kids in russia, this is very exciting and underground punk music. trust me, the stoned boys are some of the only people making music that is on this level in all of moscow. (there are 25 million people in moscow.)

dont know who created MIA's new video for "xxxo" but its fucking brilliant.
the song is a little boring. but artistically this video is right on the money.
and of course MIA is nice to look at.
it is fun to see myspace and websites like BLINGEE (?) influence current cutting edge artistic aesthetics.

when i was in kutna hora, in the czech republic, i had the chance to meet and hang with famed breakcore producer SICKBOY who was on tour with fellow pop culture deconstructivist freakazoids CAPTAIN AHAB.
sickboy tipped me to a new release of his called TWEEN CORE. containing all samples from your favorite tween superstars! miley, beiber, jonas bros, they are all here... and then sent through a grinder that spits them back out bloody, raped , and bruised.
in a sense, they all get FUCKED.
